Kiwanian of the Year

Each year, our club leadership selects a member of the club that goes above and beyond to make our club, our community and our organization a better place for all. Between number of service hours given, projects worked on, meetings attended, and overall promotion of Kiwanis, as well as their passion for “serving the children of the world”, these members embody what Kiwanis does. We are grateful to these outstanding members for their passion, time, talent and drive to make our club “the best in the west”!

2016 Kiwanian of the Year - Marianne Muraska

Marianne has been our club secretary for the past ten years. Since then, she has been promoted to the honorary position of “Secretary for Life”. Marianne has kept every member of our club notified every week of minutes, schedules, due dates and meetings through her weekly emails and reminders. We honestly would be a lost “herd of cats” if it wasn’t for Marianne, and we are honored and proud to have her as a member of our club. Since Marianne was not allowed to order this year’s plaque, it did not come in time for our banquet. THIS is the exact reason why we need her.
